What I did:
Yesterday, I came up with sort of a game plan for today, which is working out pretty well, so far. I stayed on track with my eating habits and spent some time with my kids, together and individually.
I also was able to accomplish some things I had been putting off for quite a while. I don't really understand procrastination. When we don't do what we need to do, we have no joy because these things are constantly nagging at the back of our minds. When we finally just do it, we feel better immediately! I just did it, and a weight was lifted off!
I also read a blurb in a magazine that gave one secret to immediately improving a person's mood. Okay, I looked. There is a study that has shown that sitting up straight can improve a person's entire outlook on things. I tried it. I'm going to have to say it really worked! Now you try it :)
Speaking of magazines - I was surrounded by pretty much every magazine imaginable as I waited for my client at the hair salon. Doing the right thing for me in that situation meant finding articles that are really worth reading - and it wasn't as easy as it may sound! I had choices ranging from finding Mr. Right, gossip about a bunch of celebrities, and secrets exposed about a prominent politician. I really had to dig deep for something that was "the right thing" for me. I settled on the studies about small improvements that make a big difference. Again...sit up straight while you're reading this - you'll feel better :)
What I learned:
I want to make a difference, and I want to always give credit where credit is due, and that's to the One who makes every success in life possible. I am again reminded that it's the little things - those seemingly insignificant choices we make every moment of every day that shape our lives. I'm learning that each opportunity, each decision to do the right thing matters, and that is what it's really all about after all!
Until Tomorrow~~~Elizabeth
