Day 40

What I did:

I took the day yesterday and got a lot of cleaning done - mostly organizing, which was very much needed. I went to the grocery store and was able to stay within three dollars of my budget, and that was a great improvement on what I have been used to doing. As I walked into the store, I looked at the sales and decided what would work for this week of school vacation. There were things I knew I had to purchase, like milk and fruit for snacks.

I met with Kathy last night for the second Friday in a row. It was so great to be able to open up a little more, share a little more and listen to her as we discussed her week and her thoughts. My original idea of finding verses for each other's particular prayer requests was very eye opening and such a blessing! Not only did we both have the comfort that we "have each other's backs" throughout the week, but we also gained some new insight on scripture verses we had either not known before, or had not seen it in the light that we each brought to the table. What a great night!

What I learned:

I learned, once again, that reaching out has risks, but they pale in comparison to the richness and fulfillment that comes from real fellowship!

Until Tomorrow~~~Elizabeth
