What I did:
Yesterday was a normal, if not 'blah' kind of day. I was encouraged quite a bit by some of the messages I heard on my car radio, came home after bringing the kids to school and got quite a bit of housework done. I did feel like I was running around all day, whether in the house or in the car. After picking up the kids, we went with my little one's teacher and her friend (the teacher's daughter) to pick up a free 8 x 10 photo taken of the girls this past Sunday at the nursing home. They were so sweet - all dressed up in their angel dresses and halo's. We decided to have the girls' photos taken together because they are good friends and neither have sisters who are "playmates", unless you count Shelli babysitting occasionally for her little sister!
After that, I went to my son's boxing training class. We are beginning to feel like a part of the group, which is very nice. I opted out of going to prayer meeting last night, which is at the same time as the kids' programs. Because of the changes in the medication prescribed to me, I am still suffering from headaches nearly every day. I want to be able to do more than rub my temples every night after supper, so doing whatever I can to be healthy is something I am actively pursuing.
After putting the little one down for bed, I crawled under my covers and read for a while, then turned the lights out pretty early.
What I learned:
Normal days are good. Getting together with new friends is worth it. Going to bed early is good medicine. Showing my son that I'm interested in watching him shadow box is important. Ending the day with prayer and thanksgiving is peaceful.
Until Tomorrow~~~Elizabeth
