What I did:
Yesterday I went to work and really enjoyed getting back into the swing of things with my client after the holiday weekend. I also determined to call a new friend I met on Monday. We exchanged phone numbers and thought we might like to get together in the near future. She is an elderly woman who loves to play the piano, and since we do have a piano here, I told her I would love to have her come play some old hymns while I try to sing them. Try is definitely the best I can do in the singing department!
I watched my favorite TV show - "The Biggest Loser". I like to see the different relationships on the show, as well as the determination of the contestants to make real, significant changes in their behavior and habits. My two favorites are O'Neal (Unk), and his daughter, Sunshine. I pull out the tissues every time I see O'Neal talk about his Sunshine...he is just so supportive and loving to her, and she is equally supportive and respectful of him. They hugged a lot last night, and I was blowing my nose every other minute! I just love to cry those "happy" tears!
I could have gotten more done than I did, but I have had to pace myself physically, and yesterday was no exception. This morning I finished much of what I didn't do yesterday, and felt pretty satisfied with that.
What I learned:
I'm not really sure what I learned yesterday. I guess that would be the honest answer! Maybe I'm progressing so I don't really have the "all or nothing" mentality anymore. I have already previously learned that I don't need to allow so much stress in my life by either getting upset when things aren't perfect, or on the flip side, allowing too much to pile up. Yesterday was indicative of that philosophy. Hmmm...do I see some changes here?
Until Tomorrow~~~Elizabeth
